Costa Vida

I worked on this regional fast-casual account for several years, concepting quarterly campaigns that featured broadcast and in-store assets.

This example was a highlighting their chile verde, a limited-time menu item that was always popular. Over several rounds, I evolved the concept and refined the script. Then I worked with the art director to help storyboard and determine in-store visuals.

The focus of the Q4 promotion was warmth—both literal (the Costa chile verde is spicy!) and figurative (it’s a comforting dish in cold weather). As we evolved the concept, hand-drawn type began to take shape to visually convey that warmth.

The final spot is beautifully shot, with a focus on the food. The type works with the VO to help communicate warmth without losing the energy that’s part of the brand.

Supporting campaign assets included in-store signage, social images and posts,
and even out of home.
