Park City Brewing

Park City Brewing was a beloved local brand…until they got so successful they had issues with distribution, consistency, and quality. A group of investors took over with a new brand and new beers.

For the rebrand, I researched local lore, named their core beers and gave each a backstory, and developed the brand voice for a new web site—all while communicating the spirit and history of a mountain town.

Working with an art director, we went on location to Park City’s Main Street, taking photos and diving into local history. That trip became the inspiration for the can art, beer names, and can stories.

For the beer names and can stories, communicating what made Park City so special was paramount. The goal was to make anyone drinking the beer feel like a local.

The website was a way to showcase the brand voice I developed—part ski bum, part beer nerd, and 100% Park City. It was also a way to address the brand’s past upfront.

The brand, messaging, iconography and voice of the business were exactly what I wanted
